Post-Partum Care | Dunn Physical Therapy

Our physical therapists specialize in helping new moms!

Being a new mom is hard. But physical therapy can help relieve a lot of the pain and discomfort you might be experiencing after delivery. As with recovery after a major injury or surgery, rehabilitation is just as important after having a baby!

Post-partum physical therapy

Physical therapy decreases the likelihood of prolonged incontinence and chronic low back pain, and it can protect against issues with pelvic organ prolapse. You can heal muscles, improve urinary, bowel, and sexual function, and restore pelvic stability.

Some treatments available include…

  • Soft tissue mobilization, myofascial release, and deep tissue massage
  • Muscle energy techniques
  • Therapeutic exercise
  • Posture and lifting techniques, and biomechanics
