Treatments

The most up-to-date, evidence-based programs and cutting-edge treatment methods are standard – for all our patients.

Utilized to decrease a patient’s pain, reduce impairments in affected tissues, and assist in restoring function. A thin monofilament needle is used to stimulate underlying myofascial trigger points and muscular and connective tissues for the management of musculoskeletal pain and movement impairments.

Gives the clinician and patient a real-time perspective into soft tissue musculoskeletal dynamics. Used for muscle-retraining purposes, imaging of the bladder for awareness of voiding function / dysfunction, or visualization of the movement of the diaphragm as it relates to core control and function. It allows for measuring of muscle atrophy / thickness and biomechanical dysfunction.

Helps in the treatment of patients with urinary or fecal incontinence, constipation, pelvic pain, weakness, or other impairments due to decreased proprioception or awareness of the pelvic floor and accessory muscles.

Patients learn how to effectively evacuate stool or increase the awareness of stool within the rectum. Utilized for dysfunctional bowel movements.

Assesses the pressure or force produced by the pelvic floor when muscle activation is performed.

Strengthens a patient’s pelvic floor through a graduated weight program.

A very beneficial intervention for incontinence and pelvic pain. These treatments are used for pelvic floor muscle re-education through the use of an intra-vaginal or intra-rectal sensor.

The use of various hands-on techniques to address muscle restriction, scar tissue, poor circulation, joint dysfunction, fascial restriction, swelling, and / or pain. Some of these techniques include myofascial release, strain counterstrain (SCS), soft tissue mobilization, muscle energy technique (MET), and high-velocity low-amplitude (HVLA) manipulations.

Sound waves stimulate soft tissues to treat muscle spasm or decreased blood flow, promote healing, and help decrease inflammation.

Utilized to increase strength and prevent disuse atrophy, stimulate sensory nerves to reduce pain, and stimulate or alter the healing process of injured tissue. Electrical currents are used to stimulate nerves and muscles through high voltage, low voltage, biphasic, Russian, TENS, or interferential current.

Electrical current drives ions beneficial to the healing process through the skin into the healing connective tissues.
