Steven received his doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in 2011. Dr. Zeiss is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist through the well-respected Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy and is one of a handful of certified lymphedema therapists in the Louisville area.
Steven has had the opportunity to work throughout the United States, where he has gained extensive training in the areas of orthopedics, neurology, spine rehab, and geriatrics. He has trained with some of the leading teachers in their respective fields of Physical Therapy including McKenzie, Paris, Mulligan, and Norton. His specialized training also includes trigger point dry needling, which he utilizes in treating a variety of orthopedic conditions. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Kentucky Physical Therapy Association.
At Dunn Physical Therapy Steven heads up the lymphedema program where he has found a true passion in helping this patient population. "After being exposed to lymphedema for the first time, I saw the devastating effects it can have on patients. This created my passion for helping people achieve little goals we all take for granted such as fitting in your shoes, being able to dress independently, or having the confidence to wear shorts when it is warm outside. It is helping people achieve these goals that keeps me focused on maintaining our program as one of the best in the region."
Steven and his wife, Megan, recently chose to settle down in Louisville for their long-term career development. When not working he enjoys traveling, hiking, and running. He has summited three mountains over 10,000 feet and aspires to hike all around the world.
