Rakes Wedding

What the Couple Wanted

A soft, rustic-feel June wedding with soft pinks, ivory tones and mint accents throughout.

Wedding Prep Time

Nine months

Wedding Prep Process

We had a lot of conversations early in the process to discuss exactly what the bride wanted. The little details were very important to her. Since she wanted to make sure everything fit just right, we had many conversations around her décor and bar. We tied the same two colors into every aspect of the event – for example, making sure the mint napkins on the tables matched the centerpieces, as well as the greenery in the ceremony space.

Menu

Kentucky Hot Brown chicken, beef tenderloin carving station, wild mushroom penne, broccoli casserole, fried okra & tomatoes, Kentucky bibb salad with apple cider vinaigrette, cornbread muffins

Wedding Highlight

The bride and groom served their two favorite cocktails (an Old Fashioned and a Lily) and even toasted with their favorite drink, A&W Root Beer!

What Made the Wedding Special

The bride and groom really tied in their story with the event through special touches, such as the table numbers. Each table "number" was a place that had a special meaning to them: where he proposed, where they met, where they went to school, etc.

Results

Knowing that the details were everything to this bride, we took the time to see that every little piece fit together beautifully for a personalized and nuanced wedding event.

TESTIMONIAL

This company made our reception so easy to plan. The staff and food was exceptional. They made the process of planning a wedding reception for 145 people in 2 months so easy. Everyone involved from the planning stages to the bartenders and the food staff were wonderful to work with and their level of customer service was far and beyond. I would not hesitate to use them again.
