Dr. Crump

A native of Louisville, Dr. Crump attended Indiana University where he received his undergraduate degree with a Bachelor of Sciences in Microbiology in 1979. He then returned home to attend medical school at the University of Louisville, graduating with his MD in 1983.

He did a residency in Internal Medicine, and a fellowship in Rheumatology/Immunology at the University of Cincinnati, which he completed in 1988. Dr. Crump is board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. He is also certified in Bone Densitometry.

Dr. Crump joined Dr. Schneider to form Rheumatology Associates, PLLC, in 1988. He has served as Laboratory Director of our COLA-certified lab for twenty years. His practice interests include Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, SLE, and Gout. He is currently involved in a nation-wide pilot project on population-based disease management of RA. Dr. Crump has published several articles in medical journals and co-authored chapters in medical textbooks. He has been an invited lecturer both in the US and abroad. He is an educator to other physicians on new treatments and serves as a consultant to several pharmaceutical companies.

Dr. Crump is the father of two grown sons, Robert and Matthew, and an adopted son, Edmond. Outside of work, he and his wife Nancy enjoy cooking and travel. His hobbies are golf, and riding and showing American Saddlebred horses.
